Yesterday, the Anees Bazmee directed movie Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was released. Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani starred in this blockbuster film which had been produced by none other than Mohit Suri himself! Since extensive promotion for this film began days ago, advanced booking for tickets already indicated an extremely high likelihood of success. Opening with a bang at Rs. 14.11 crore on Day One itself– taking off to a flying start–Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 seems to be enjoying excellent trending during Day Two too: Morning shows have shown occupancy rates of 35-40%!
In addition, advance bookings for the second day have accounted for nearly Rs. 7 crores worth of ticket sales; this coupled with the fact that evening and night show will most likely attract more spot tickets – families are sure to be filling theaters – it is estimated that today’s (second) collection might hover around Rs 8+ crore mark!
With little competition from the previous releases, and the other new release Dhaakad not affecting the film much, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 that has released across 3200 screens in India is expected to see a major boost in collections. Going by trade predictions, the business of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will experience significant growth on its second day with collections peaking on Day 3. At this rate – we’re predicting around Rs. 50 crores within three days time!
