The latest Kartik Aaryan movie, Bhoolbhulaiyaa 2 was released yesterday under the direction of the renowned Bollywood director Anees Bazmee. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani and has been met with high anticipation and frenzied promotion from fans across India. But even before its release, advance bookings for this anticipated blockbuster were so high that it carried an unprecedented wave of hype throughout the country.
After one days earnings totalling in at around 14.11 crores, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has managed to beat out the revenue (earnings) of the actors previous work – Love Aaj Kal- earning Rs. 12 crores on opening day. Not only does it earn more than any other film Kartik Aaryan has released so far but it also earns more than all his films combined; even outweighing each individual films for a greater gain!
Though I’m afraid this momentum may dwindle as critics start reviewing it considering how infamously unfair Indian media can be when they don’t love your work. All I can do is hope for the best and count my lucky stars that India still celebrates diversity in entertainment, refusing to tie themselves down to just one or two stars and let them drown out everything else without giving anyone else a chance – no matter how bad they might be at what they do!
