Bhoool Bhulaiyaa 2 recorded an excellent hold in collections on the second Friday. Estimates say that on its 8th day, it had collected approximately Rs. 6.30 to Rs 6.70 crores and had taken the total collections of this horror comedy film up to about 98 crores (about $14 million).
The movie is slated to make Rs. 100 crores on its first day, making it the highest-grossing film in India until now for Kartik Aaryan. With just two days left until the Friday premiere, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has recorded Rs. 108.95 crores–leaving it one billion away from being a blockbuster yet again! There was great demand for advance tickets for Saturday, which means that this trend could potentially continue on Sunday and give rise to an incredible opening weekend total.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will also become the highest grossing Anees Bazmee comedy till date by surpassing his 2011 blockbuster, Ready starring Salman Khan. It is expected to overtake Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi too and become the second largest-grossing Bollywood film of this year after Kashmir Files.
