After spending some time away from commercial success, the veteran director has successfully made his comeback with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. In just a matter of weeks, this film has made its way up to Rs. 92.05 crores – coming close to matching his previous hit Welcome Back (Rs. 97 crores). This is where lead actor Kartik Aaryan earns his stripes as an actor without any reservations towards what kind of films he wants to do and gives us some exemplary acting while carrying us through this horror-comedy flick unlike anything we’ve seen before!
The next target for the filmmaker is Rs. 100 crores, and if he is indeed helming No Entry Mein Entry next then rest assured, it won’t take him a week to achieve that. In fact, the film will manage to do that in the opening weekend itself as the anticipation for the sequel to 2005 is sky-high even though 17 years have gone by. There have been murmurs for way too long that Anees Bazmee has already put together a script for the Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan starrer, and one just hopes that this time the film indeed goes on floors. Coming back to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 though, the Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani and Tabu starrer is a hit and soon enough Anees Bazmee will have his biggest grosser ever, and the second Rs. 100 Crore Club success after Ready which had scored Rs. 120 crores in its lifetime.
