In the spirit of true adventurers (though admittedly superstitious ones at times), we’ve decided to set off on an expedition towards the new restaurant that has a travel-theme – but it wasn’t really clear what its name meant until arriving there. Turns out it was in fact hidden inside one of the many shops located within The Dubai Mall; only this time they were situated inside Fashion Avenue’s annex. Not only did it boast all sorts of marble floors and walls but also lots of plants and had an amazing view overlooking the fountain just outside.
Our appetites were whetted by the tempting wafts coming from the kitchen and when our meal arrived, we couldn’t have been happier. And while there wasn’t an abundance of choices on their menu, it was just enough to make me salivate. This time around they’re pulling inspiration for new dishes from all over the world – such as my favorite dish – Aubergine Moussaka in a thick and creamy tomato sauce- giving us travelers who are too broke or busy to go exploring abroad something fun and affordable to do vicariously through them!
