The anticipation for Avatar: The Way Of Water has far exceeded expectations. 20th Century Studios India announced that over 15,000 tickets were sold in premium formats during the first 3 days leading up to release date of 16 December. Advance ticket sales will likely increase because there are only three weeks until opening day – this indicates a positive reaction towards the film among audiences who want to see it in theaters.

There has been a massive response on the advance booking even though it is just the premium formats and with all other formats opening today, we are expecting huge numbers ahead!
The sequel to Avatar will be a massively entertaining family film, said Rajender Singh Jyala, Chief Programming Officer at Inox Leisure Limited. Our premium format movies across most of the INOX properties are already sold-out; this is great news for us. Booking numbers will go up significantly once we open bookings for regular 3D and 2D formats.
