Bala proved to be a success over the weekend, earning Rs. 18.07 crores more after its initial opening day release on Saturday. Consequently, its first three days grossed an impressive total of Rs. 43.95 crores, indicating that it is well on track to become a box office hit.
Despite its impressive opening of Rs. 44.57 crores, the margin of success between Dream Girl and Bala isn’t drastically different, ensuring both will be box office successes for those involved with them.
Ayushmann Khurranna has experienced an exceptional streak of success, with all of his past five films achieving a total revenue surpassing the Rs. 70 crore mark. Two masterpieces – Badhaai Ho and Dream Girl – even managed to rake in well over one hundred crores. Bala looks poised to make its way into the elite Rs. 100 Crore Club too, meaning that producer-director duo Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik have just scored back-to-back centuries.
