Professional basketball player, Allen Iverson was famous for his Iverson Braids hairstyle. Named after him and made popular during the time he played as point guard on the Philadelphia 76ers team; it became an iconic trademark for a man who didn’t want to blend in with everyone else around him.

    Allen Iverson Career

Allen Iverson is an American retired professional basketball player best known for his playing style, speed, and defense. Born in Philadelphia, he started playing at Georgetown University where he made history as the first person from there to play in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

    Allen Iverson Career

Allen Iverson played for the Philadelphia 76ers from 1996-2008 and was named to the All-NBA First Team six times. He also won two scoring titles and led the league in points for four consecutive years; 2001-2003. In addition, he held several points records throughout his career – some of them include being named as an all star fourteen consecutive seasons and leading the league in points sixteen different times.

He also has numerous other NBA records, including most points scored in a single game with 506 (against Golden State on February 28, 2001), most points scored during a single season with 2,395 (2000–01), and most points scored in a single quarter with 55 against Toronto on December 19, 2004.

    Allen Iverson Hairstyle

Allen Iverson has the popular Iverson Braids hairstyle. This style is similar to dreadlocks, however, instead of sticking all his hair together in a tight bun or ponytail, Allen Iverson separates his hair into two long braids and leaves it natural so that it can frizz down and out.

    Allen Iverson Hairstyle

Allen Iverson’s signature hairstyle isn’t just for show. It also works as protective armor against the elements – specifically heat and cold! So if you live somewhere with harsh winter or summer climates (like snowy places), braids can come in really handy when your hair is constantly exposed to those unforgiving elements.

    Allen Iverson Hairstyle
Allen Iverson’s hair has changed throughout his career – from braids to cornrows – and many people claim that he changes up his hair on a regular basis. One of Allen’s most popular styles is the Iverson Braids Haircut; however, this particular look wasn’t always so well-liked.

    Allen Iverson Hairstyle

In reality, the only pompadoured haircut that Allen Iverson ever wore was in high school. It is true that A.I occasionally sported this look when he played for the Philadelphia 76ers; however, it was not until after his retirement from professional basketball did he start wearing braids again.

The braids consisted of three sections: Two small braids tied with a bow, and one long braid hanging from the top of his head.

How to get the Iverson Hairstyle?

A favorite among many athletes and celebrities, braids provide a quick yet fashionable way to keep your hair under control during intense activities such as basketball, running or going about daily errands. Braided styles look even better when paired with another hairstyle such as bangs or an updo for a formal occasion.

How to get the Iverson Hairstyle?

There are three different types of braids for this look: regular, large and extra long. The first option is a simple ponytail with two or three braids in it. To do this style, you will need to use either bobby pins or hair elastic bands to secure your hair so that it does not fall down during playtime or other activities.

How to get the Iverson Hairstyle?

The second option uses bobby pins to keep braided hair in place for a more formally dressed appearance. Elastics are added to the mix which allows one to pull it away from their head when the time comes; this helps make them appear even more professional than before.

    Conclusion

If someone were to ask me who my favorite basketball player ever is, I would say without hesitation Allen Iverson. He’s wearing braids all the time, it’s something he has never stopped doing despite what people say about his style. His braids hairstyle has been iconic for years now and I believe that this could be replicated on yourself if done right. First off don’t make your braid strands too thin because then they’ll lose texture and become very soft which doesn’t really show off anything at all.

Secondly try to keep them evenly-spaced across your head so you can maintain a full hairdo instead of looking patchy because of an uneven cut or being too baggy with them (which might happen if you don’t tighten up the back of your braid). Lastly, just remember – tuck in those ends! Your quality and finish are going to depend heavily on how well you do this last step.
