Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is indeed a hardworking artist, given that he releases 3 to 4 films a year. However, the year 2022 was not so good for him, and many other actors as the Hindi films performed poorly at the box office. Reflecting on this issue in an interview with Hindustan Times Newspaper recently, Kumar shared his thoughts about how changing audience tastes has led to movies flopping at the Box Office this past year.
Things have changed, said Akshay. The audience wants something different. This change in taste is what we should focus on then; it is our fault if Hindi movies continue flopping because people aren’t going out to watch them anymore – it isn’t their fault if they’re staying home instead of going out to watch these big budget productions.
Extending on his previous comments, Akshay says, We have to learn more. I want to start in a completely different way. And, this is what I have started. Just give them something different and try to talk to them. When asked about how much he does or tries out new things he quickly replies, At least three times a year. As for the question of whether he does ads or not, Akshay responds with an emphatic yes.
He adamantly continues by saying that there are no ulterior motives behind his career decisions- all he wants people to know is that he doesn’t take anything away from anyone else because he’s just trying to make a living too. With regards to the public knowledge of Akshay’s whereabouts – according to recent reports the actor has been filming Ram Setu in Sri Lanka since September 26th and will return sometime between December 18th-24th.
