Yesterday, the much-discussed Housefull 4 finally made its theatrical debut, which was eagerly awaited by many. Allowing people to celebrate Diwali in a much brighter and jollier way with its funny moments, the movie started off on a positive note.
Housefull 4 collected Rs. 19.08 cr on its opening day, earning it the ninth-highest grossing release of 2019. This surpasses the total made by Total Dhamaal’s opening day at Rs. 16.50 cr. While Housefull 4 generated considerable hype, it could not match up to previous 2019 releases like War with a staggering Rs. 53.35 cr, Bharat at Rs 42.30 cr, Mission Mangal at Rs 29.16 cr, Saaho with Rs 24.40 cr, Kalank and Kesari at around 21 crore each, Kabir Singh’s opening day at 20 crore and Gully Boy’s haul of 19 crore on its first day in theatres.
Currently Housefull 4 continues to run in theatres and is expected to see an increase in business over the weekend. Furthermore with Monday and Tuesday being a holiday in many domestic territories expectations are that business of Housefull 4 will see a further increase.
