Default IP for 2Wire

2Wire Router Login
Follow these instructions to login to your 2Wire Router.
- Connect the power cord of your router to an outlet. Connect one end of the Ethernet cable into a port on your laptop or computer then connect the other end of this wire into a free Ethernet port on your router.
- Recommendation – It’s best to use a wired connection while setting up the 2Wire router. This prevents losing internet connectivity when saving your changes from an unexpected disconnection.
- Open up the browser of your choice and type in the IP Address for your 2Wire Router. It should be located on the back of it.
- To access the admin panel of your router, enter the default username and password: admin and password. If you forgot your login information, try entering one of these common defaults for 2Wire routers.

If you cannot log in to your router, it means that either you are using the wrong user name or password. Make sure to write down both of these before changing them so that there won’t be confusion later when logging in again.
- If you forgot your password, we recommend trying a power cycle of your router. To do this, press and hold the small black button found at the back of your router for around 10 seconds. This will reset it to its factory settings and enable you to use it again with ease.
- Router Login Page Not Loading? If the login page is not loading, please check your connection. You may need to change the default router IP address if it does not match the one used for your modem or other devices (e.g. WiFi).
- Sometimes pages will load slowly or not at all. This might be because your internet service provider has assigned you a different IP address from what we are used to seeing here. To fix this problem, please enter your ISP’s IP Address list and find the correct one for us so we can work towards fixing it for you if you need help with locating it, there is an article on how to do that here.
