Ajay Devgan starred in the Indian film Drishyam which recently released at China theaters. During its first few days it showed lower revenue than predicted but has since seen some incremental success. In contrast to other recent Indian movies, the Hollywood motion picture didn’t perform well from the beginning because most moviegoers are currently enjoying their weekends with friends and family members instead of watching DVDs or visiting movie theaters.
Additionally Drishyam’s distributor failed to secure prime venues for screening unlike others that were able to do so in advance or soon after opening day — a decision many experts attribute as part of what caused such high ticket sales figures for these very similar productions both set among rural villages; despite India having no safety issues compared to China’s restrictive containment measures including closed schools/offices and restricting entry from outsiders. Looking ahead (and again), Indian distributors are unlikely to change plans due to past unimpressive revenues and minimal expectations going forward.
