A couple of days ago, Bollywood Hungama reported that the collections of Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai in the sixth weekend were a measly Rs. 3,661. This led to much ridicule for the film among other Indian cinema enthusiasts and critics. Many expected weekday ticket sales to be even more disastrous and that the film’s theatrical run would conclude on Thursday, July 15th when earnings are tallied up for the coming weeks too-but it seems like the movie industry has finally gotten one over this time around!
In an abrupt turnaround on Tuesday night (July 13th), Radhe managed to generate considerable revenue when released at Raj Mandir in Jaipur-the very first single screen theater in India’s capital city! The masses came pouring through its doors to watch this action drama unfold live on-screen at these opening shows alone!
As of Friday, July 16th, Amber Cinema in Jamnagar had stopped screening Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai (due to low viewership). Meanwhile, the situation at The Friday Cinema multiplex was worse and despite an increase in earnings during the Bakri Eid holiday (Wednesday, July 21st), it had been decided that it would stop screening this movie as well.
Trade experts predict that due to its dismal performance across all locations, it will unlikely make much more than two hundred thousand rupees before closing. Furthermore, it has already become clear that this will be its worst week yet; taking less than three thousand dollars from box office sales last week – which is significantly lower than what it made even during its first week when only three cinemas showed the film.
A marketer within the film industry claims, Raj Mandir is a unique movie theatre. Viewers will enjoy watching movies in this place because of its one-of-a-kind experience. It’s an enormous movie theater with an occupancy capacity of nearly 1100 seats. The reviewer compares Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai to pre-Covid era day when they saw changes in its economic performance after Covid was introduced and argues that though it was panned by viewers on YouTube which made it easier to find online; 150 – 200 people still go watch the movie every week at Raj Mandir for about Rs 110 or Rs 150 or even as much as Rs 300 per ticket under these Covid time conditions which shows how popular the theatre is.
Radhe – Your most wanted bhai entered its seventh week yesterday, and was released in cities like Kanpur, Varanasi, Aligarh etc. The film will also be playing on weekday evenings in major centers such as Lucknow to attract audiences during the Bakri Eid holidays. This means that Radhe – Your most wanted bhai has the largest number of showings per day so far; therefore 7th week collections should exceed all those before it.
