Moviegoers were greeted by a huge reception for the upcoming movie when they arrived to see it on opening day. It was directed by SS Rajamouli who also did Baahubali, and features well known actors such as Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn. There has been intense hype surrounding this new release due to expectations that it will be just like Baahubali but bigger in size and budget – some even say its scale is even greater than that of the original Baahubali franchise!
And indeed, with many promotion campaigns going on before its release featuring the starry cast members themselves telling fans how excited they are for people to come watch it- all these anticipation came true at last: RRR got reviews from both audiences and critics alike praising it for being so grandly done; leading them to believe it will be successful both financially and critically!
Now on Day 3, advance estimates show that RRR has seen a 27% increase in attendance from its Day 2 occupancy. This ensures that the movie will have a HUGE Sunday for their earnings – which would put it up there among the top-grossing films released during pandemic times. Advance bookings are also at an all time high, with people willing to watch matinee and evening shows despite them not being too close to the theatre they’re interested in going to – making sure they don’t miss out on this great opportunity. If things keep up at this rate, then tomorrow’s revenue could reach anywhere between 20 and 40 crores – but only time will tell how well or poorly this latest Bollywood blockbuster does.
For the approximate total of Rs. 47 crore made in the first three days, it won’t be too difficult for RRR to secure an additional Rs. 31 crore over the course of two more days and reach its goal of at least Rs. 71 crore before Sunday evening. What has helped push RRR closer to success is that it has been released across various formats (in 8,000-plus screens) with exceptionally positive word-of-mouth and critic reviews surrounding it; while also taking advantage of The Kashmir Files being screened at fewer locations this week due to reduced demand – so there’s space available in theatres where moviegoers can go see one instead if they’re considering doing so.
