Bala continues to break records. In only 12 days, the film has overtaken Luka Chuppi as one of 2019’s top grossing movies. The latter earned a lifetime total of Rs. 95 crores, but Bala is already ahead with an astonishing Rs. 95.04 crores.
Tuesday’s box office earnings of Rs. 2.05 crores was slightly lower than the Monday tally of Rs. 2.25 crores, yet the movie is expected to accumulate an additional Rs. 3.25-3.50 crores by week’s end and break into the Rs. 100 Crore Club in its third weekend at cinemas.
Producer Dinesh Vijan has been receiving good news with both his productions, Luka Chuppi and Bala. While the former had the potential to cross Rs. 100 crores in sales, it faced competition from Badla running at the same time. Now Bala must contend with Pagalpanti coming out next week, so it is yet to be seen where it will end up in the market.
The film is a super hit nonetheless.
