On November 9, 2020, Laxmii, Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani, made its digital debut on Disney+ Hotstar. This occurred after movie theaters were forced to shut down in March of 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Now, theaters have been allowed to open up at half capacity in several Indian states, resulting in the theatrical release of several pre–existing films, with fewer new releases.
