Actor Kiara Advani starred in Indoo Ki Jawani -the latest Hindi movie to be screened abroad, post Covid-19. The Bhushan Kumar production followed the adventures of an enterprising woman who falls for her online dating app matches in this surprisingly fresh take on what life would be like had social media sites existed during our most intimate moments; making it fun, especially for viewers sick of the mushy romcoms and love triangles seen often enough on-screen these days.
Interestingly, just before she could arrive and steal hearts, she had done something similar with Akshay Kumar in Laxmii – which was India’s first post-Covid date release last month. After its debut overseas this past Wednesday, let’s see how well it did!
