An unbelievable scenario has occurred at the box office- a dubbed South film has done far better business than a blockbuster Hollywood release and a mega budget Hindi film which released a week later. On Monday, Pushpa: The Rise (Hindi) was the highest collecting film, with collections staying over the Rs. 2 crores mark. No other films in contention managed to match these numbers- this marks an incredible change in Indian cinema industry.
The film earned an estimated 2.75 Crores this past weekend for a decent hold even after looking at Friday’s grosses of 3.5 Crores. As it stands, the film has done a good job holding its ground for these holidays and unlike other films where collections tend to decrease during the second or third weekends as we’ve seen from Spiderman No way home and 83 which is also doing alright themselves so far while Pushpa (Hindi) – one of our Hindi counterparts has been going strong without seemingly being effected by how others are performing around them.
The movie reached 65 Cr in India alone breaking past Rs 65 Cr with still some time left in the fourth week till its theatrical release date comes to an end with no new releases planned out until next Sunday, guaranteeing that they’ll make even more money without any competition going against them this upcoming weekend let alone continue doing even better than they have been doing up until now!.
Superhit.
Note: All collections come from various places such as production and distribution
