There are two upcoming films releasing this Friday – Dream Girl and Section 375. The former is likely an entertaining movie whereas the latter features topical social issues. Let’s start off with Ayushmann Khurrana’s latest project, Dream Girl. With five consecutive successes under his belt – Bareilly Ki Barfi, Shubh Mangal Savdhan, Andhadhun, Badhaai Ho and Article 15; it looks like he’ll nab his sixth film success here too. His popularity among audiences will only grow from here on out as everybody anticipates this next release. So far, things have been going smoothly for Raaj Shandilya’s production featuring our favorite actor in a leading role.
Producer Ekta Kapoor gave proper promotions and marketing to the film, releasing it in an appropriate time. Paid previews were even held for the film on Thursday- solidifying her faith in this movie. All of these aspects show how big a break Ayushmann Khurana will receive from people who are willing to watch his newest performance. In contrast, Section 375 is starring Akshaye Khanna and Richa Chaddha with Meera Chopra and Rahul Bhatt as supporting actors.
After seeing its trailer, there seems to be plenty of drama mixed in with some intense courtroom scenes which makes it appealing enough for those who enjoy dramas; however opening night doesn’t seem so promising due to competition from Dream Girl or Chhichhore . Nonetheless, if Section 375 gets close to earning Rs. 3 crores it will have met its goal- a small yet strong foundation built just for one type of audience – that could then be used for future projects down the road.
