After crossing the Rs. 200 Crores mark in its box office collection, RRR [Hindi] was now looking like a blockbuster hit from both critics and regular audience members alike. The film released with mixed reviews from critics who had predicted that the movie would collect no more than rs. 125 crores. However, after releasing on Friday night people went wild watching this movie and by Sunday evening they had already earned over Rs 0.5 million according to the latest numbers reported by trade sources – something unprecedented for a new release coming just three days ago (Friday).
This has left everyone astounded about where the movie will go from here considering there are still many weeks before it finishes screening in theaters nationwide; one thing is sure though – this movie is turning out to be an even greater success than anyone could have ever predicted!
As for John Abraham, he gave his all to Attack – Part 1 and it sadly didn’t do as well in sales despite the efforts put into it. Sales should have increased on Saturday or Sunday, but they didn’t even go up at half of what was expected. This is a big production, so it deserved more than just Rs. 11.51 crores in earnings. With just Rs. 246 million right now, the situation is devastating for everyone who had worked on this film since there were high expectations of it making around 250 million rupees by Lakshya Raj Anand.
But because of The Kashmir Files coming out again after being pushed back, total receipts now stand at 524 million rupees with no sign of slowing down soon thanks to Salman Khan’s latest movie making an estimated 20 billion rupees from Friday through Monday which helped boost these movies’ numbers higher than before when Krrish 3 made about 10 billion rupees and also became India’s new number one movie ever!
