The Kashmir Files by Vivek Agnihotri has been unstoppable after its opening day. At this point, the film crossed a modest Rs. 100 crores in business and it was expected to keep going up from there due to positive reviews – but nothing could have prepared anyone for what happened next! With no signs of slowing down and critic-approved reviews coming out left and right, The Kashimir Files has already reached Rs. 200 crores worth of business all while breaking records left and right. This means that if things continue at this pace then soon enough we’ll see record breaking numbers for Mr. Agnihotri’s masterpiece which will make all other films pale in comparison!
This industry report looks at the showings of the Kashmir Files in Delhi-U.P., while making comparisons to other films currently playing. Interestingly, The Kashmir Files has performed relatively well here, collecting Rs. 64.29 cr so far. The film breaks into All-time Top 10 after entering 8th place and overtaking movie money totals from films like War – starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff that made Rs. 63.74 cr; Salman Khan’s Sultan that collected Rs. 60.62 crores; and Vicky Kaushal’s Uri – Surgical Strike which made Rs 46 crore.
If that wasn’t enough, The Kashmir Files is still running with audiences patronizing the film currently on its fourth weekend. In tandem with the fact that Gudi Padwa festivities are coming up this weekend and will provide an additional boost to collections for The Kashmir Files, it can be safely assumed that the already successful business of this project will continue growing even more.
