  • 2 cups uncooked long- grain white rice
  • 6 6 cups boiling water
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1  tablespoon white suga
  • 2  teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 dash hot pepper sauce


  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease a deep 2 quart baking dish.
  • Boil some water, then throw in all the ingredients of the rice so that it can absorb them. Congratulations! Now you have a nice and delicious dish!
  • While the rice is cooking, cook the bacon in a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat. Reserve about 1 tablespoon of bacon drippings in the pan. Once finished cooking the bacon, change the temperature to medium. Drain the grease from the bacon on a plate lined with paper towels and wait for it to cool.
  • Cook and stir the chopped onions in the reserved bacon drippings until translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in the crumbled bacon, tomato sauce, tomato paste, sugar, Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce. Bring the mixture to a simmer before reducing heat down to a low setting. Simmer for another 10 minutes. Stir the cooked rice into this dish that you've created and stir until it's evenly combined with the other ingredients.
