The Ranveer Singh starrer 83, directed by Kabir Khan released last week to a good response from the critics. However, the film met with a mixed response from the audience. After opening on a good note, the business of the film saw a dip in collections on its first Monday.
Now on its fifth day running, the business of 83 seemed to continue its downward trend drawing in just Rs. 6.70 cr., nearly half what it was yesterday – with this the total collections of the film are now pegged at Rs. 60.99 crores (6990 crores). Though predictions state that the business of the film will continue its downward trend because Jersey has been rescheduled for a later release date; nevertheless, it is likely that 83 will do well until then – even though Thursday’s performance left much room for improvement based off last Friday’s numbers which were much higher than these days’.
Currently, with the implementation of Covid-19 protocols across states in light of Omicron’s resurgence, business predictions for the film are looking bleak. Though 83 will continue to run, estimates say it will see a declining profit at the box office.
