When you are looking for some of the best places to kayak in Dubai, there’s no shortage. They have locations such as Hatta Dam which boasts an impressive view that is perfect even if you’re just taking a quick break from your busy schedule. It’s little wonder then why it has earned its recognition as a world-class boating destination given this and other wonders located within its shores – including, one might add, Dubai Harbour where the city’s very first yachts anchored themselves only recently; and now this harbour houses what will become the emirate’s largest marina. Anyone who is visiting Dubai would do well to check out Deira Islands in the north and also the private island off of Dubai Marina in the south too.
The developer in charge is none other than Nakheel.
To meet the needs of Emirates’ growing leisure boating industry, we will be spending $100 million to expand our marine facilities, said Aqil Kazim, Chief Commercial Officer at Nakheel.
Both new islands offer anchoring facilities only.
Meanwhile, Deira Islands – which includes four man-made islands next to the area of Deira – are planned for development. Close by are Dubai Waterfront Marinas and developments such as Palm Jebel Ali. Sadly, plans for this stalled due to the 2008 crash; however, developer Nakheel has previously said it is still committed to it.
