Ajay Devgan’s latest film, Drishyam was released just over one month ago at the China box office. Even with a mediocre initial turnout (compared to other recent Bollywood releases), business slowed substantially after only 18 days. Due to security issues within the country, sections of urban China are off limits and some reports suggest these factors are contributing to low returns on investment for filmmakers such as those distributing Ajay’s newest release. Hopes for a brighter future lie mainly in going online or finding alternate markets outside of China. It seems that trouble might follow films like Drishyam around so it may be best if they were let go without fighting back or risking any additional costs associated therewith…
